December 9-10, 2021

The first day (Thursday, December 9) of the Conference will be devoted to the discussion of the issues related to economics, business, politics, policies of the countries towards each other at the current moment, international cooperation in the Arctic and North.

The second day (Friday, December 10) will cover the themes of domestic social policies and cultural developments in Canada. Other themes, relevant to Canadian Studies (Canadian history, literature, etc.) might be added uppon request.

About RACS:

Russian Association for Canadian Studies was founded by the leading experts in Canadian studies from the Institute of the USA and Canada, and is affiliated with the International Council for Canadian Studies (Canada) being the full-fledged member of both the World and European Associations for Canadian Studies.

The association is headed by its President Tatyana R. Kuzmina, PhD, and renowned Academic Sergei Rogov as an Honourary President and Scientific Leader.

Currently RACS is the only scientific NGO in the Russian Federation that unites all the Russian scholars specializing on Canada. RACS has chapters in many cities and universities of Russia guiding the research in various aspects of Canadian life by many scholars and experts in Saint Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Vladivostok and many other cities.

RACS members take an active part in the research academic activities of the International council for Canadian Studies (Ottawa) and international conferences that bring together the best specialists in Canadian Studies all over the world.

Jointly with the Institute of the USA and Canada and the Institute of the world history at the Russian Academy of Sciences, RACS publishes 2 different magazines devoted to Canadian Studies - Canada Annual Magazine and The Canadian Studies in Russia and Abroad.
