RACS-CERBA 17th International Conference:
"Canada and the World: Challenges-2020"

Dear CERBA Members and Partners,
CERBA is happy to be a partner of Russian Association for Canadian Studies (RACS) in the organization of RACS 17th International Conference, which will take place on November 26-27, 2020. This time the Conference is held in an online format.
Participation in the Conference for CERBA Members is free of charge.
If your schedule does not allow you to participate in the entire program, you are welcome to attend the workshops of your choice.
The Conference is open to a broad audience, and explicitly aims to promote interdisciplinary dialogue.
The first day (Thursday, November 26) of the Conference will traditionally be devoted to the economy, business and politics topics. Plenary Session will focus on the challenges between Canada and Russia. Round Table Discussion will feature the political and economic challenges in Canada throughout 2020.
The second day (Friday, November 27) will examine economic and Arctic challenges in the Russian-Canadian cooperation in 2020. The Round Table Discussion of the second day will also cover the topics of science and cultural developments in Canada. The Round Table Discussion will be followed by presentations of young research fellows who will share their insights on Canada-Russia relations.

Russian Association for Canadian Studies was founded by the leading experts in Canadian studies from the Institute of the USA and Canada, and is affiliated with the International Council for Canadian Studies (Canada) being the full-fledged member of both the World and European Associations for Canadian Studies.
The association is headed by its President Tatyana R. Kuzmina, PhD, and renowned Academic Sergei Rogov as an Honourary President and Scientific Leader.
Currently RACS is the only scientific NGO in the Russian Federation that unites all the Russian scholars specializing on Canada. RACS has chapters in many cities and universities of Russia guiding the research in various aspects of Canadian life by many scholars and experts in Saint Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Vladivostok and many other cities.
RACS members take an active part in the research academic activities of the International council for Canadian Studies (Ottawa) and international conferences that bring together the best specialists in Canadian Studies all over the world.
Jointly with the Institute of the USA and Canada and the Institute of the world history at the Russian Academy of Sciences, RACS publishes 2 different magazines devoted to Canadian Studies - Canada Annual Magazine and The Canadian Studies in Russia and Abroad.
