Dear CERBA Members and Partners,
CERBA is happy to be a partner of Russian Association for Canadian Studies (RACS) in the organization of RACS 16th International Conference, which will take place on November 8-9, 2019 in Moscow in the Conference Hall of the Institute of the USA and Canada.
Participation in the conference for CERBA Members is free of charge.
If your schedule does not allow you to participate in the entire program, you are welcome to attend the workshops of your choice.
The first day (Friday, November 8) of the Conference will traditionally focus on various aspects of the cooperation between Canada and Russia. Plenary Session I will feature the discussion of mutual interests and challenges faced by Russia and Canada including economic and political issues. Plenary Session II will examine the role of the Arctic development in Russian-Canadian Cooperation.
The second day (Saturday, November 9) will be devoted to the cultural aspects of Russian-Canadian Cooperation. The Round Table Discussion "Russian-Canadian Cooperation: Culture and Academia" will be followed by the graduate students’ presentations of the subject related to Canada and its cooperation with other countries.

Russian Association for Canadian Studies was founded by the leading experts in Canadian studies from the Institute of the USA and Canada, and is affiliated with the International Council for Canadian Studies (Canada) being the full-fledged member of both the World and European Associations for Canadian Studies.
The association is headed by its President Tatyana R. Kuzmina, PhD, and renowned Academic Sergei Rogov as an Honourary President and Scientific Leader.
Currently RACS is the only scientific NGO in the Russian Federation that unites all the Russian scholars specializing on Canada. RACS has chapters in many cities and universities of Russia guiding the research in various aspects of Canadian life by many scholars and experts in Saint-Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Vladivostok and many other cities.
RACS members take an active part in the research academic activities of the International council for Canadian Studies (Ottawa) and international conferences that bring together the best specialists in Canadian Studies all over the world.Jointly with the Institute of the USA and Canada and the Institute of the world history at the Russian Academy of Sciences, RACS publishes 2 different magazines devoted to Canadian Studies - Canada Annual Magazine and The Canadian Studies in Russia and Abroad.
