PARTNER EVENT: I International CSR Forum in Millerovo, Rostov region

Dear CERBA Members and Friends,

We would like to invite you to the partner event the I International Corporate Responsibility Forum in Rostov region that will take place in Millerovo, Rostov region, Russia, on May 22, 2018, dedicated to a discussion of EN 26000 and corresponding Russian standard GOST R 26000.

The CSR Forum in Millerovo will take place as a response to the efforts to unite all stakeholders and provide them with an expertise and competences. Foreign colleagues have already generated and involve the local communities in CSR context. The cooperators, contributors and participants of the forum include the Millerovo county administration, Southern Federal University, Martens Memorial Foundation, CERBA and the representatives of the regional authorities, Russian and foreign businesses. The Ministry of Economics of Rostov region sent an official invitation to Edward Fast, ex-Minister of International Trade of Canada and an active Canada MP, who has made a great contribution to the Canadian CSR system.

The agenda of the event includes the following issues:

  • General introduction on GOST R 26000 standard and its application in Russia including the measures to be taken to spread its application in Russian regions (specifically in Rostov region).
  • Non-profit organization involvement as CSR tools from which the local communities may benefit (interaction between business and NPO's).
  • Business involvement in cultural and historical heritage preservation (this serves the idea of national identity and cultural diversity).
  • Improving the face of the local community – the issue of business involvement in the transformation of the community's outlook and improvement of living conditions and environment.
