Ambassador's Short Bio
Having signed an Association Agreement with the European Union in June 2014, which includes a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) with EU, the Republic of Moldova embarked on a gradual implementation of its ambitious reform agenda making European integration the Government’s fundamental priority in its domestic and foreign policies.
The trade policies promoted by the Republic of Moldova are mostly geared towards attracting investments in the national economy which are capable of innovation, transfer of know-how and competitive goods for domestic and foreign markets, high added value and creating efficient technical and economic infrastructures in order to maximise the existing economic potential.
Due to its favourable geographical position, skilled labor resources, fertile soils and participation of the country in free trade zones of the CIS countries and the countries of South Eastern Europe, Moldova is an attractive location to conduct business between western and eastern markets.
