Dear CERBA Members and Friends,

The Eurasian Economic Union officially formed on January 1, 2015. We are convening this event, given the high importance of understanding how the new Eurasian Union can improve opportunities and trade with centers of economic development, integrated into one of the largest single markets in the world, which unites more than 183 million people, with a gross domestic product of over 4 trillion U.S. dollars. A number of Fortune 500 companies are already trading in each or all of these nations and now their goods and services can be available within the common economic sphere that comprises 15% of the world's landmass. Belarus is accelerating its accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Whereas Kazakhstan has just acceded to the WTO on October 1, 2015. Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have recently joined the EEU as well.

ABOUT EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION

EEU has an integrated single market of 183 million people and a gross domestic product of over 4 trillion U.S. dollars (PPP).[18] The EEU introduces the free movement of goods, capital, services and people and provides for common transport, agriculture and energy policies, with provisions for a single currency and greater integration in the future.[19][20][21] The union operates through supranational and intergovernmental institutions. The supranational institutions are the Eurasian Commission (the executive body), the Court of the EEU (the judicial body) and the Eurasian Development Bank. National governments are usually represented by the Eurasian Commission's Council.
