Gowling WLG's global Life Sciences team has advised long-standing client AstraZeneca on a landmark collaboration agreement for the development and distribution of the University of Oxford's potential COVID-19 vaccine.

Russia’s leading intellectual property law firm, Gowling WLG, is a pro-bono benefactor to the ven-erated Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow (MAMM).

MAMM is internationally recognized as Russia’s first state art institution focused entirely on photog-raphy and works created through multimedia technologies. Olga Sviblova – a Soviet and Russian fine-art expert, art historian, documentary filmmaker, and professor - founded the museum.

"We are very honored to be a benefactor to MAMM, such an important part of the contemporary cultural life of Moscow and Russia," says David Aylen (Managing Partner, RUSSIA/CIS) and Madina Assylbekova (Director of Business Development, RUSSIA/CIS), consummate photographic art aficionados themselves.

"MAMM is the preeminent multimedia museum in the world and we all benefit so much from this important cultural institution. We are confident that Gowling WLG can serve MAMM well through our expansive experience and professional resources. This is especially important during these challenging times of the global pandemic and its effects on the arts. And our commitment to MAMM will continue long after the pandemic passes."

Since 1991, Gowling WLG’s Moscow office has protected the valuable IP assets of its Russian and international clients, offering comprehensive IP advice across a full range of areas, including trademark and brand enforcement, patent prosecution, and IP litigation and dispute resolution.

With offices around the world, Gowling WLG takes a leading position internationally in the legal are-na, not only because of its outstanding professionals, but also for its community engagement and pro-bono initiatives.

In Russia and internationally, it supports institutions that promote the public good, including vital medical, philanthropic, and cultural charities and community organizations.
