Assistant Regional Director, CERBA Toronto Chapter

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to support the Regional Director in the implementation of the Association’s strategic plans and policies.

 Responsibilities

  • Respond to members’ service requests
  • Update CERBA marketing materials on a regular basis: digital and print
  • Assist foreign trade delegates with their needs
  • Manage a team of volunteers and interns to support the Association’s operations
  • Prepare certificates and potential member packages for interested companies
  • Update database on a regular basis
  • Keep accounting records and produce monthly and annual financial reports
  • Prepare and distribute event invitations
  • Provide event assistance: registration, event supplies purchase, catering, venue, AV suppliers coordination, delegate package preparation and other logistics-related tasks
  • Prepare visa invitations
  • Compile and distribute National and Local board meeting preparation packages
  • Setup of Committees’ conference call/meetings and produce meeting minutes
  • Other duties as requested by the Regional Director 

Terms:

  • 12 months contract
  • Compensation 25,000-30,000/year based on the interview results
  • Probation period: 2 months

Requirements:

  • Education: BA or higher
  • Computer proficiency: MS office, experience with online CRMs, Adobe creative suite knowledge is an asset, social media communications strategies knowledge is an asset
  • Russian language proficiency is an asset
  • Experience in business event management is an asset
  • Comfortable in multitasking environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines with little supervision

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

CERBA is a business networking group with seven branches spread throughout Canada, Russia and Central Asia.  It specializes in organizing conferences, seminars, trade missions and providing a platform from which it is possible to meet and network with potential business partners/clients who work in Canada, Eurasia and Russia.

We are looking for excited, motivated, and hard-working interns who would like to work with us on several projects. Our interns will be involved with research, marketing, conference/event organizing, communication with members and other tasks as the Regional Director requires.  In addition to enhancing your research, organizational, and project management skills, we offer opportunities for networking with a large number of multinational companies who do business in Eurasia.
